Controlling Filter Env via CV

Hi there,

Bit of a CV noobie question, but trying to control the Voyager Filter Env independent of the Amp env, via CV and struggling.

On the Voyager, In Edit/Filter Env Gate SRC, i have that set to ENV GATE INPUT, and the Vol Env Gate set to GATE IS ON.

On the Analog Four, I have a value controller attached to an envelope, and that CV is going to the Envelope gate on the back of the synth.

But nothing is happening at all.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Controlling the filter envelope? Sorry, I think you either try something impossible or are you meaning to control the filter (not the envelope)?

No, I do mean the filter env. Surely you can seperate control of the filter env and the amp env?

What part of the envelope are to trying to modulate? Their timing? Their modulation amount to filter or VCA?
Or do you mean triggering them? Triggering is not CV but gate.

Hahah ok I understand - i was trying to make the internal env on the A4 to be the gate, but i think i was being too complicated and stupid!!!

Now it works! Simply, I created a 'value' control on the A4 and routed that to an internal envelope and then connected the CV to the filter input on the back of the Voyager. Now i can control the filter via the envelope on the A4, which is what i wanted!!!

Thanks for your help! I'm still finding my way around CV.

I must say the Analog Four is incredible for controlling things with it's envelopes/LFOs etc...
