Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if this is possible:
as topic says - can the the Sub Phatty SEND cc midi data to DAW?

Well, it sends MIDI, so yes

Yeah, hmmm well I couldn't find anything regarding what I want to do:

I can't use the Sub Phatty Editor plugin to do my automation, because it's not working good enough on my system (too many bugs), so I need to automate things via old school midi CC.
So to make things a bit less painful I have created a full CC template in my DAW (Renoise) for the Phatty, with virtual sliders/knobs etc that reflects the Phatty 1:1, and that works fine.

However - if possible, I would also like to make the Phatty SEND the initial values for the loaded patch to the DAW, so that all virtual sliders/knobs jumps to the right position.

Is this possible at all, in some way?
Or is this rather a question I should ask on the DAW forum?

I'm far from being a computer assisted music speialist, but I guess it is possible. Indeed the Renoise forum must be more helpful

I don't think it works that way. You can download a patch to your computer using SYSEX, but not CC.

I am able to help you, since I have the Sub Phatty, the editor and Renoise. Of course the template you made can be very useful too!

Maybe we can find together the specific problems that the editor has in our DAW, and help Moog work on them...
