Voyager editor librarian slow response knob tweaking

I'm currently testing the demo of the voyager editor and i'm a little worried about 2 things before actually buying it:
1. When i tweak knobs like filters, osx mix etc, the response on the moog is very slow and also the sound is interupted while tweaking.
Is this normal? Will this be part of the full version?
2. How does the editor communicate the patch setting of the voyager with the editor? Does it overwrite the current one, or is the editor automatically mapped to the current patch loaded on the voyager?
