ARP Midi-send problem.

Hi Guys,
Have a problem I can't figure out.
Setup is that the arp controlls an external oscillator (Doepfer Dark Energy). This works fine while the 37 is in control of things, but when I put the ARP in syncmode so that it follows my Cubase. Then it (the 37) stops triggering/playing the DDE in the same way. Hence while still playing the arp on the 37 itself, it does not transmit fully to the DDE.
As I see it is the Latch-function (or note on note off) that behaves differently when in syncmode or controlled/clocked by an external device.
I've tried all the thru/out/local control etc settings on the machine but all with the same result.
Any Ideas?
