Sub37 Chords

Hey All -

Used the 2 mod buses with square wave LFO's to toggle Osc2 and a third osc from ExtIn each tuned to a different interval. The LFO's are synced but at different rates. Gives the sensation of chords kinda-sorta :) Latched the arppegiator to create the melody.

Wow, sounds exciting!

After all the time with JH LVCO, I'm really missing 3rd osc in Sub37... thinking about creating a PCB with a sawtooth oscillator core, controlled by single channel MIDI2CV (MIDI comes from Sub37), with converters to square, triangle and sine. Octave selector rotary switch, fine tune pot and output wave selector... maybe a simple triangle LFO to modulate pitch and pulse width.

How did you set up the externa sound sorurce? Is it controlled by an external sequenser, or does it play at random? Did you sync it in anyway to the clock of the 37?

sincerely,

The third oscillator is my Werkstatt that I modded to accept MIDI IN. I send MIDI OUT to that from the Sub 37 and get the audio from the Werkstatt into the Ext In of the Sub 37. I can then control volume and toggle from the ExtIn?Feedback controls. I lose feedback, but that's OK :)

Thanks for the info! Just so I understand you correctly - the werkstatt gets note info from the arpeggio in the 37. Then you tweek it so you get "kinf of" three different notes.
