Sending midi to sub 37 no audio out

This is probably something very simple that I'm overlooking. I am using Ableton Live with a Focusrite interface. I am sending midi from ableton (out of the focusrite) to the midi-in on the sub37. The midi button lights up red every time a signal is sent to the synth, but no audio is produced. If I hit a key on the subs keyboard it produces sounds as it normally would (through the audio out). I've read the manual but can seem to find an answer there, I'm sure there is something incredibly simple I'm not seeing... any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue as you. Running Ableton 8 w/ a Focusrite saffire pro 24 dsp, and the issues with MIDI have been a problem since day 1 of getting my sub 37. I'm not in front of my setup at this moment so I'll add to thread later with more detail.
Here's one example though:
Midi settings: Output is set to focusrite
External Instrument plugin within ableton (midi from focusrite linked - audio through appropriate channel).
I am able to monitor without any problems, but when I write in midi notes and then hit record, there is no audio recorded.
I know I know, this could be strictly an interface issue, but I'm lead to think otherwise b/c I have similar issues when I use the sub 37's USB as MIDI.
Same setup as before, except midi is being run through the Moogsub37USB (Input and Output are set to Track ON and Remote ON). I was able to get past the first issue with no audio being recorded, but as soon as I start to make a parameter modification (whether it be adjusting the filter, envelope, etc.), the sound cuts out.
Would really love to be able to get this solved.

Well, as I expected I'm an idiot. The Midi-in channel on the sub37 was set to 9 and "external instrument" in ableton was sending midi to channel 1. I switched the moog midi-in to channel 1 and all worked as expected. Thanks for the reply kbfusco. Hope you can get it figured out, if not you could try sending the guys over at moog a support email.
