Sub Phatty preset/master volume problem

Hi!
I love my Sub Phatty. Sounds great. But there's one problem: when I got it it saved the master volume setting with saving a preset. I switched that off in the editor, but now there's another problem. I switched it on to volume 6, and loaded one of my fav presets. It was a bit loud for the bass amp I used, so I turned down the master volume. Then, when loading another preset, no problem. And then I touched the master volume. BOOM! Back to superduperhigh volume with the knob still at 4, volume jumping to 6 and staying there until I reached 6, then it worked again as it's supposed to. Is this a little bug? Or did I forget to switch something in the editor?

I am having the exact same problem on my Sub Phatty - latest firmware - sounds like a bug - did you find a solution ?

Andy helped me fix the problem - I had to change knob mode to "Snap" - and it did the trick !

Yeah, I've been having a real problem with this exact issue. I'm in a band on a world tour, so it's really frustrating!
I can't imagine changing the knob mode to Snape is a true solution to this problem. Because what if I don't want my filter knob to snap?

Just found this old topic:

So, it seems this has been a problem for a while now. Can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet. It's such a major problem!

sounds like a bug in Relative pot mode. I will put a priority on fixing this; sorry it's been so long!

Nice! So for now I'll just have to deal with it?

It seems that, with the latest firmware update, things have gotten better. Hadn't seen 2.0.6. yet.

2.0.6 is better and perfect if you use "Load Preset Volume": ON.
Until this works with "Load Preset Volume": OFF rather leave "Load Preset Volume": ON. and use the headphone output to the mixer and the Headphone Volume as your Master Volume. Or maybe if you're like me and have a small mixer on you keyboard stand, so that is my Master Volume is there with effects and stuff.
I think this issue a complex one to code 3 Modes (jump, relative & pass though) x "Load Preset Volume": ON/OFF x Preset, Modified Preset or Panel Active. 18 possible knob states. Hey Atmos, I'd help for free (or maybe a rad discount!) Yes i'm qualified.
Master Volume is better thought of as Preset Volume, because the volume of the oscillators vary such a lot (from triangle to pulse), and the Sustain Level is need to be freely to sculpt the volume "flow", and the Attack Peak Volume is fixed to 0db/Max,
we really need a Volume knob to adjust all presets to sound similar to each other. That is what Master Volume really does! Then you need another volume adjust you level to send the mix, this is traditionally called Master Volume. To create this is where the Headphone Volume or a small mixer comes in handy.
Pots/Knobs are potentially noisy mechanical devices and i think Moog is trying to use the best ones they can so their product don't fail (Repair is Expensive!) but good ones are pretty expensi too and so they use as few as possible.

Where did you hear/read about firmware 2.0.6? Mine is on 2.0.3 and haven't received news about an update being available.
How great it would be if Moog would just always put links to their updates on their website. The latest update on
http://www.moogmusic.com/products/phatt ... nloads-tab is from 2013-09-13...

Found link from this forum:
SubPhatty_v298_2_0_6.zip, BUT, It's definitely not an official Moog site, is this cool to post?

moogconnect.net actually is an official Moog domain for downloads AFAIK. Thanks for the link, but I wonder why Moog are so inconsistent with announcing and posting firmware updates. I really wish there was one public location to always find all versions, preferably just the public website.

I kinda get what you're saying, but the problem with me is that I make my presets at home on a low volume, so I do not disturb my neighbours. So basically I kinda have to boost my bass/synth switcher pedal a lot if I keep the volume at this rate.
So basically what you're saying that, to be able to do what I'd like it to do, it needs another volume knob, right?
