MINITAUR - wondering cutoff knob

Recently starting having an issue where the cutoff knob starts slowly turning itself down. Not physically, just in the software plugin. I have to keep tweaking the knob to get it to stay still.
It doesn't have anything to do with the lfo mod if that's what you were wondering.
Any advice on how I can fix this would be much appreciated.

Hi Noah,
I used to occasionally have a problem similar to that with my Little Phatty.
(Its LEDs made it easier to see the effect happening)
It had to do with line noise coming from a different device that used a certain AD/DC wall wart.
My specific cases were the power supply for the JamHub and a certain BOSS power supply.
It seemed to happen when a 1/4" TS cable was connected between the Little Phatty and the JamHub or BOSS pedal.
As a test try the Minitaur with just headphones and no other audio connection.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot.

Do you have anything plugged into the CV input for Filter cutoff?
Does it only happen when the editor is up and running or when USB is connected?
If it occurs consistently, maybe try DIN midi straight from a kbd if you have one.
May be an errant device on your midi chain sending CCs; maybe a software based LFO somewhere.
Final option, similar to Dan's advice, is to consider calibrating the CV voltage in which is done by setting a reference voltage into the jack and then executing a SysEx send of a specific file. (contact Amos if he doesn't stumble upon this) he may have other ideas and of course, a Tech support call might be in order if you are tired of trying various things; they may have seen it prior. I'm still sitting on old firmware and use my MiniTaur all the time, never saw anything like this.

This was happening to mine as well. The cutoff knob wouldn't track properly, and occasionally it would just the cutoff frequency would just stop at a certain point even if I was still turning the knob. I contacted the Moog service dept. and Nick sent me a new knob free of charge
I would definitely recommend having an experienced tech replace the knob. It's not as easy as unsoldering it with a solder sucker. Those solder joints are tough! It's easy to pull out the through hole plating if you don't have a high quality de-soldering station...

Similar to this, I have a problem with my Minitaur in that the physical cutoff knob keeps on reverting to the 5khz cutoff point (3 o clock on the dial) wherever I move the knob to. If you press the knob down from the top it plays at the correct point on the dial, but when you let go it reverts back to 5khz.
Has anyone else come across this behaviour before? I presume it is a hardware issue and that I will need to have the knob/ pot replaced but just wanted to see if there was any other possible reason?
