If this is true, I really hope they at least offer the FFB to us for sale.

At least one module!

Check the Moog home page - its true. Call for pricing

Something tells me they are only selling as a package...

hopefully if they sell enough, it will fund the sale and manufacturing of individual modules. so all you people with deep pockets ( Joel Zimmerman, I'm looking at you) buy these up so maybe the rest of schmucks can get some modules.
on a side note; I wonder what the power situation is. something tells me it's not the new dot com standard.

Woah.

They even recreated the custom phase shifter and preset modules.

How's the piano sound?

Holy mother of Genghis Khan...

I don't expect to ever encounter one of these in real life, but I hope enough rich musicians and producers buy these to fund R&D for Moog to do more cool stuff for normal people.

I really need to get a pass for Winter NAMM 2015!!! Actually, with Ashville not too far from Nashville, maybe they'll have it at Summer NAMM.

I know they're going for an accurate re-creation, but I hope it will be able to use regular gates instead of the weird S-trigger.

I want one but I fear I will have to sell a few organs (and I mean body parts) to afford one.

This is a really amazing project, to reproduce as close as possible a Moog from the past.
As info slowly trickles out about this project, it looks to be the work of some dedicated Moog modular enthusiasts. Namely Gene Stopp & and list member Brian Kehew. Nice work guys! Really impressive and difficult project to take on. I guess this was funded by Moog Music? As more info comes out, I guess we will find out who's idea it was. Guessing an idea pitched by Gene Stopp, who has been involved in Emerson's modular restoration from years back. A labor of love for sure!

Lots of crazy modules in there. Three LFO's with 902 VCA face plates. A drone VCO on a 911 EG face plate. The drone VCF on a 911A trigger Delay panel with HP/BP/LP and resonance? That is some crazy stuff there. I wonder what the origin of those special modules are?
Hi res photo here:
Hi rez photo of some modules

I would be interested to see any of the old Bob Moog design schematics on those early modules like the programer. Would like to see how Bob implemented those Vactrol controlled circuits to possibly make some Moog Vactrol modules of my own. Or that sample/hold module, but guessing that was an early 70's design with IC's.

No one can say the current Moog Music does not make a 5U modular now!
