Aftertouch pressure question

Really enjoying my Voyager by the way! Just seems the aftertouch requires a bit of force to activate. Even with the amount set to max it takes what I consider a good bit of force to engage. I guess I'm use to the DSI type of aftertouch, which may be the extreme opposite in that it can be programmed to respond to even a light touch.
What are your observations of the aftertouch on your Voyager keyboard?
Thanks,

Thanks for your response sunny pedaal. My Voyager is a new model, I have read that the early editions with aftertouch were hard to get to respond. I can't imagine what that would be like. I almost am afraid to use the aftertouch as a modulation option because I'm afraid I will break the keys off.
When you say modified, did you do it yourself or was it done at Moog?

I am surprised at how hard I have to press the keys on my new Moog Voyager to activate aftertouch.
Having used many aftertouch keyboards over the years I must say the Voyager is the stiffest I have ever played.

Moog offers a modification for smoother aftertouch. I had mine modified and it does work better.

Thanks for the replys guys,
MC when you say modification, do you mean for new recently made Voyagers, or for those early editions that were apparently very hard to engage? It is not a super big deal for me as there are so many ways to modulate the sound, especially from the touch plate. I'm just curious.
DSI synths would be the other extreme where you can practically blow on the keys to activate the aftertouch!

My Voyager is a Signature Edition one of the first 150 units made. The modification was developed afterwards, I do not know if they are implemented in current units.

don't know from where they maybe changed the aftertouch as standart ?

The Rudi Linhard ("RL" here in this forum) did a great modification on mine. Now it is the best aftertouch I get here on all my synth.
