Hi all,
I apologise for this very newb type of question...
I'm looking for tips about Sound Design on the Voyager.
I've really enjoyed some of the sounds Todd Terje gets out of his ARP 2600 and wonder if there is a way to program the Voyager to achieve similar kind of tones?
As an example, the main chugging bass sound in this tune (I assume it is the ARP):

Any helpful tips or links on how to sound design with the Voyager would be much appreciated.

Hey there. Also a Terje fan. His music will get anybody into synths, I swear....

I get some pretty similar stuff out of my Voyager for sure. One of the best things you can learn when you're starting out is how to really get good at hearing and creating filter envelopes. Go through the presets and try to recreate the filter envelopes for all of them.

Also, another thing that Terje uses to get that sound (which I've also been trying to imitate lately) is spring reverb. Personally, I use an Ekdahl moisturizer (which is an uber cool toy for its CV options alone, actually...). But many times I also use spring settings in a good convolution reverb vst in Ableton. Reflektor for Guitar Rig is good, as is the Max For Live convolution reverb.

Oh, I suppose 'Preben Goes to Acapulco' is the track with a lot of notable spring reverb.

Still, try to lay some on your Voyager and tell me you don't get into it
