Slim Phatty Firmware 3.2 Question ...

In the email for the Little/Slim Phatty Firmware I received from Moog, it says that it includes:

• LOCAL CONTROL: OFF, ON, noKB. The new "noKB“ setting turns local control OFF for the keys only, while all knobs still affect the sound.

What does this feature mean (if anything) for the Slim Phatty? Does this suggest that there is a software method for keeping the Gate open? (Yes, I am aware that we can patch an analog pedal into the gate input. That is the current method I am using.)

Just wondering ...

Thanks in advance. :)

No, that setting has no meaning for the Slim Phatty. It was actually an oversight to include it on the Slim menu.
I've already built a v3.21 which fixes a small Note Calibration bug, and removes "noKB" from the Local Control options for Slim Phatty (the "noKB" option still appears on the Little Phatty, which has a keyboard of course...)

Amos,

It's very impressive and a great comfort to know that you are working on yet another firmware update and that the Little and Slim Phatties will still be supported. As we know, some Moog owners (like me) keep their instruments for many, many years.
