Thought for sure someone would have noticed this by now:

In OS 3.1, cursor to MASTER Function 4.4 (Copyright Info)

Hit ENTER, then press -1

... and thanks, Rudi!

A very cool little "credits screen" .. Neato ..

It would be awesome if he could program a number of "startup" screens for the MMV. I know its obviously not necesary, but wouldn't it be cool to have a little pixelated portrait of Bob's face grace the LCD everytime you boot up?.. The Wendy Carlos portrait that she did in charcoal would be my first choice ! Now, would that be genius or what ? !!!!!!

Cool idea!

It's certainly possible - pixels is pixels. Right now you can choose from two screens; the original or the v3.1 screen. No reason why one of them (perhaps the original screen) can't be replaced with an image of Dr. Bob.

How about it Rudi?

Hi Greg,
How about it Rudi?
Sure, but who can design it?
There are only 128 x 64 pixels...

Rudi,

I did some fast try outs and stored them here:
http://qwave.de/moog_1.gif
http://qwave.de/moog_2.gif

both are b/w 128x64 pixel.
Just add the version number and the Moog logo.
Feel free to use it !
And better ask Wendy for here permission.
I hope she will love the idea.

edit:
here a version with the old Voyager logo and the Moog Music brand name:

Hey Till, it looks good.
More ideas are welcome!

BTW: I'm using BMP files for the logos.

I know the space is small, but I guessed (correctly it seems) that someone would figure out how to do it.

Nice work, Till!

My God, you guys are awesome !!!

If this actually comes into reality ( maybe 3.2, or an updated 3.1 ) then I must have it.. I didn't think my idea would be taken seriously, but I am extatic (spelling?) that It might ....

Maybe along with the "boot up portrait" it could have the Version number and " RIP Bob Moog 1934 - 2005 "

Thanks alot for supporting the idea..

Or how about something like

"This Moog Voyager belongs to ____________________"

Your name in the blank spot.

Or how about being able to download any picture you want into the screen? Like you could have pictures of you dog or kraftwerk in your Voyager.

I like the image of Bob in the moog1.gif the best.. Even though it is not as dark as the the other it still looks a lot nicer...

A downloadable screen changing thingy would be cool, but I'm sure that doing this would be work enough. It might initally be easy for Rudi to do
but in that case he would either have to open source some of his Voyager software data or create a program to dump just the image in to the flash screen with out messing with the other data...

The mans a genius though so I suppose anything is possible. I don't really know what I'm talking bout anyway, It might be much easier than I am assuming...

Keep up the great ideas my fellow Moogers..

I like the idea of Bob's image booting up on the screen, very nice.

I'm guessing that it would be possible to write a small utility to overwrite the 'boot screen image' bytes within the appropriate SysEx Bank file with an appropriately processed custom image prior to downloading to the Voyager (which is something I did start looking into at one time - but lost focus).

If RL would tell me the file and byte offset I would be happy to knock up the code.

Kevin, but one needs to calculate the checksums new too!
