Hi,
I know we're in the analog domain but my volume pot is really noisy.
Impossible to make a nice volume fade in.
Anyone else has experienced this ?
Thks for your help.

try changing the value of the Attack on the Amplifier section before you press a note on your keyboard, that should give you a nice fade in

Thks for the tip bichuelo but sometimes, especially in live situation you just have/want to play with the volume not the envelope.
In this case, my minitaur is a no go, it really makes some audible scratchy noises as I turn the volume knob up/down.
Just want to know wether mine has a problem, is yours doing the same (or anyone else) ?
Thks for your help.

I never heard any glitches while moving the master volume.

Thks greenborder.
That's what I thought, not normal, my minitaur has a problem.

Tough luck mate, hope it can be taken care of - otherwise you might want to connect it to a mixer and do the fading from there?

Helly Mydni,
I actually have the same issue now, it's a new thing, I don't remember having this before...
Did you sort that out?

Check and make sure your controller is not sending CC#7 as you are adjusting the volume pot, this can cause symptoms that seem a LOT like a bad pot.

Hi there,
As I was saying, I got mine serviced. Here is what the rep says about what we done to it:
"replaced a potentiometer and re-glued ribbon"
Now works like a charm...
Cheers

I had the same issue, and was fooled because the headphone output didn't seem to be making a noise when the pot was moved. I emailed Moog and received a prompt comprehensive reply from Adam. He recommended applying the contact cleaner anyway, and in 45 seconds my Minitaur was producing a marvelous clean output with smooth volume response. Hooray!
Long Live Moog!

Hi all,
Think I'm suffering a similar problem. Noisy pot, but also I'm getting quite a lot of noise on top of each note I play.. ok well note a huge amount of noise but I'm sure it's not normal.
I made a quick recording

You can specially hear as the longer notes fade away.
Do you guys think a bit of contact cleaner would help (is so applied where?) or should I get it serviced?
Thanks
Richard

Hey, i have been experiencing the noisy volume pot myself in a while, any advice will be appreciated. I've made a quick recording:
https://soundcloud.com/danioan/minitaur2 - this is with a note playing and this
https://soundcloud.com/danioan/minitaur is only with the pot turning.

i am very concerned as the Minitaur is my main bass synth
