Minitaur tuning strategies / details on the automatic tuning

I am having problems with the MInitaur's tuning.

Before recording a part, the Minitaur will have warmed up for half an hour in a room with relatively stable temperature, the tune knobs are set to the middle position and I will have run the SYSEX command to tune it right before.

Yet, the Minitaur is generally, and sometimes even the scale internally, off by around ~10-20 per cent from A440 equal temperament after that tuning procedure.

I would like to understand if or what I am doing incorrectly here.

How exactly does the automatic tuning work ?

Is it even necessary or Is it better to just use the front knob for tuning or will the scale bé internally off if not sent the SYSEX command to the device?

I really don't know what to do here.

I would like to use it very much on a recording project but we just cannot figure this out and there is no documentation of how to go about the tuning.

Do I have to live with this or can it bé in tune ?

Are there tuning screws inside the device ?

Thank you very much for providing some insight on this

Kind regards
