Moog Little Phatty MkII Noisy/buzzy Oscillators

Post by teebeekid » Sat Jul 27, 2013 6:25 pm

So I just bought my first analog synth, the little phatty! I bought it last week on eBay for $920 and am absolutely in love with it!! I've recently been noticing that my triangle wave and square wave have been making a buzzy/noisy sound when the filter is open all the way, no resonance. Is this something to be worried about or is this normal for an analog/Moog? Thanks!

I see your post is from 2013 ... but I'm having the same problem. Filter open, OSC 1 full on w/ triangle, no LFO etc. , just OSC 1 at 16'.

There is a noticeable buzz, and the knob has more buzz full left. When I turn it slightly to about 8 o'clock there is less buzz, and then turn further to sawtooth at about 9 o'clock the buzz is very strong going into saw.

Is the overdrive all the way down?
