Guitar+ClusterFlux+MuRF

Hi everybody!
I'm using my guitar through Cluster Flux and MuRF 105 -both MIDI controlled by my MPC- and I'm really delighted with this infinite possible sound combinations, but sometimes I find that Cluster Flux saturates the MuRF and the sound of the guitar seems to disappear.
I'm think about using an A+B switch before the Moogs, splitting the guitar signal, one to the MuRF and another one to the Cluster ¿have you tried anything similar?, ¿any recommendation?
Best!

Hola Luis!
You could do that but you would loose the benefit of having both MoogerFoogers effcting your guitar. You certainly already know that but can't you fine-tweak the drive / output levels settings?

Hey!
I can do it, but I find it really hard to control those knobs when I´m playing live!
Thanks!

In general I have found that splitting a guitar signal into two parallel paths, then blending them back together and sending that to an amp creates mud. It takes some careful planning and EQing to be fully successful at cutting through the mix.
Leave them in-line is my recommendation. Work at finding the settings that get the sound you want. The mix / drive / output knobs will give you what you need. You could also figure out a way to send presets using your controller. Knob tweaking is part of the fun of these pedals in live scenarios... You get good at it naturally.
What about expression pedals?

Expression pedals are a good solution indeed.
Luis, I tend to think the drive and output levels settings are made for adapt to any source rather than to be tweaked live.
Here is, for example, how I do it with my delay:
- set Mix, Drive and Output to 0
- bypass the effect and listen to the volume I get
- enable the effect and set the Drive so that the level LED is lit yellow-redish
- then increase the Output level until I have the same volume with effect on and off
- Finally, set Mix and -if needed- adjust Output level if Mix is > 50% because at this point the dry signal volume starts to decrease.
Whenever I have two pedals, I do that for the one closer to the instrument first, and repeat for the second one.
Again, you may know this, hope this helps though

Common problem indeed when you hold a guitar. Easily solved if you want to invest in a suitable controller. I use both a behringer BCR2000 and a Roland FC300 foot controller with my midi foogers (murf and delay). Besides bypass and regular cc control with expression pedals, my favorite trick is to assign fixed values for delay time or feedback level for the MF-104, so I can jump instantly to a precise and previously tested sound effect levels.
Each controller has its own quirks and strengths but with the both of them, I get everything i need at foot or finger tip. Got mucho dineros invested in Gibsons and foogers. A few more make it all worthwhile.

I gotta say that this is quickly becoming my favourite combination of Foogers. I mean the delay and low pass will always be staples in my "tone arsenal", but these two open doors to possibilities that just can't be done elsewhere. I'm going to leave the details to the sounds I record... Will post in the future.
