No VX-351? What a ripoff!Bryan T wrote:I think Moog should release the Bryan T starter pack. It would combine an Old School Voyager, a Moog guitar, and an MP-201. Priced at $1499.
Pretty please?
what should moog release next?

Just thinking about this. A polysynth would be a very nice addition to the Moog arsenal especially one that resenbles the Voyager with a full complement of CV inputs and sources (with the expansion).
What I would also like to see is a second CP 251 style box with a CV controlled mixer, one for audio and one for CV and and envelope. The MP 201 can act as an envelope generator but if you had one on a CP 251 style box with a CV gate input, it would turn foogers into something very close to a full modular system.

I'd accept 6 gladly, but 8 would probably be better.EricK wrote:So how many voices then do you think are acceptable?
I say 10 is a nice number. You now if you go < 8 then people will cry "But the Prophet...", but if you go more than 8 then the $ factor comes into play.
In a self contained unit (hopefully one that will hold the Voyager on its chassis) how many voices?
I don't think I would want to buy a Moog synth just to turn around and get a cheap MIDI controller to go with it.

You know if I only had 6 voices, I would wish for 10.
But most of the polyphinic keys I play are Rhodes, when lends itself to fewer notes. So maybe I could appreciate 6 voices.

I agree 5 octs would rock!peterkadar wrote:I can get by on 6 voices, but I think 8 is where it needs to be.
I'd love a polyphonic little phatty, but with 5 octaves, and a HP filter as well. Maybe with a built in chorus a la Juno 60.
If it could do splits/layers like the Prophet '08, that'd be great.
That mock up DOES look nice!

5 octaves and 8 note polyphony would suit me fine!CTRLSHFT wrote:I agree 5 octs would rock!peterkadar wrote:I can get by on 6 voices, but I think 8 is where it needs to be.

f the new LinnDrum comes out anyone in the market for an analogue drum machine will buy that
Come again? The LinnDrum was so popular because it was the first widely available digitally controlled drum machine to play real drum samples
Well since Dave Smith is involved I assumed it would have a basic analog synth. the pic on the DSI website says Digital/Analog Drum Machine.
So this thing only plays one note?

Give us an eight-voice version of the Voyager. Maintain the three oscillators and add a five-octave keyboard and a unison mode so that the instrument can double as a traditional Minimoog. Design it to look just like the Voyager - wood and all - so that the two synthesizers will look fantastic together. And... keep the price at or under $3,000.
