Hi, all!

Now the proud owner of Sub Phatty #302.

I was having some of the similar issues discussed in previous threads and updated the firmware, now, if I attempt to use the synth with Ableton, local off or otherwise, it becomes totally unresponsive after about 10 minutes. It was tracking midi fine, controls were acting normal, then out of nowhere, not a single knob (including master volume) works.

It just drones on and goes out of tune until I reboot.

Also, the octave +/- buttons don't work if I use the active panel setting (all i use). If I go back to a preset, and hold the active panel button and press the octave buttons a few times, sometimes it will shift octaves after I switch back to active panel. It is also routinely shifting back to Filter EG as modulation source, regardless of knob position or preset.

One instance of the second oscillator having to be turned to -3 to get it anywhere near in tune with Osc1 and the Sub Osc.

Local control also has to be reset to "off" every time I reboot, could be normal, just haven't encountered that on any of my other machines.

Any ableton users having similar problems?

If I leave usb unconnected, it will behave properly in some instances, but, usually after about a half an hour, something goes wonky...

Yup, same here. Updated to 1.2.1 and it seems buggier than 1.1.8 to me. Similar things happening to me using the Sub and Ableton. Haven't had the weird octave problem you're describing, but I am losing panel control even more often with v 1.2.1.

sorry, guys! I've had to work on a blinding amount of other things this past week or so, but I'll look into this as soon as I'm able.

sounds like some of it could relate to the Knob Mode: Relative... try setting Knob Mode to Snap and see if you get the same problems or not.

did anyone try this? can you report whether or not it makes any difference? I should be able to work some more on Sub Phatty this week...

Sorry, totally forgot to reply to this thread, Amos!

The knob mode setting did seem to make a difference, though I can't say for certain. I set it to Snap and haven't had any lockups since.

I'll install 1.2.2 tonight and do some more extensive testing.
