How can I set the LFO to control the keyboard gate? It only blends in with the mod wheel.
Just bought my Moog

im a little confused. do you want to trigger note on and off with the lfo? or blend in the lfo when a key is pressed?
PS congrats on your purchase!

Sorry, I'm still learning the lingo.
I'm trying to blend in the LFO when the key is pressed. Examples are two presets B4 (80's Seq) and B 81 (Sequence your thirst) where the Env Gate is set to External.
Was trying to figure out these settings.

well what you could do is set the lfo how ever you'd like on the pedal buss (source square or triangle, destination what ever you want the lfo to modulate, shaping what ever you like, amount 0) and in the edit menu settings go to "pot mapping" and set the source to key pressure, destination to pedal amount, normal and what ever percentage you like (100% for full effect, 25% for subtle effect, 50% for in between) that will allow you to add in lfo with the amount of pressure you put on the keys
to get the notes to trigger like those presets, you go into the edit menu and scroll down to "fil. ENV Gate SRC" And "vol. ENV Gate SRC" and you want to select "S&H Gate" this will trigger the envelopes to the rhythmic pulse of the sample and hold LFO (Note if you have another gate source plugged into the S&H Gate input on the voyager, like the CP-251 Square wave lfo or the trigger out of an old drum machine, it will trigger in time with that) keep in mind your envelope setting play a big part in this if you have a really fast gate input and a really slow envelope setting you may not hear any sound.
so tweak some knob fiddle around and have FUN!

Thank you! I figured it was something in the edit menu. Why it took me so long to buy one of these is beyond me. I'm hooked!

Yeah seriously, these aren't $40 monotrons. They're quite expensive but worth every penny

Hi all,
Thanks for your answers! I'm slowly starting to get the hang of this

I'm using Logic 9 and have a question about the LFO rate.
I get that the LFO of the Voyager does not sync its rate to the Logic midi clock, rather it resets its waveshape on midi clock. Does this mean there is no way to get your LFO rate and song tempo to match other than trying to manually listen and adjust?

I've had no problem syncing to midi clock. It just takes a minute sometime to get the lfo in the sweet spot.
