Hi,

i noticed in Turnkey in London that they are having a clearance sale on the CP-251, is this product being discontinued? i was meaning to buy this sometime when i have the cash but should i buy it now in case it's not going to be around soon?

maybe (if they are) it's because everyone keeps complaining about the build quality of it, and they're making it better?

In any case if they are discontinuing it, it will be announced on the website and everyone will have time to get one before they stop making them.

if i were you i'd get one while it's on sale, since you plan to get one anyway.

btw does anyone know when and if they will release the input expander for the RME?

Was this changed with later models? I have an early CP-251 (#21) and the knobs seem to be exactly the same as my MF-103 (also an early model).

I don't have a CP251, but I do have MF101,102,103,104z. My MF103 is also an old pedal from when Big Briar was making the MF’s, When I compared the knobs from my various Moogerfoogers I must say that the oldest MF103 has the best knobs, They a nicer feel to them, Probably a little more resistence.

I have an early 102 (Big Briar) and a late 101 and 103 (Moog). I can't tell any difference between the knobs of the Big Briar and the Moog. Feel the same to me!

I have a Big Briar 104 and the Moog MFs (101,102,103,105). I also got a CP-251 last year with the Moog MFs. The Big Briar MF and the Moog MFs have the same knobs and feel, but the 251 has "looser" spinning knobs. The 251 knobs also tend to tilt a little if I turn it too hard although I haven't had any problems with it.

Probably the reason why I find my Big Briar MF103 to have knobs with more resistance is because the 103 is the pedal that I tweack the least, while my MF101's cutoff knob and my 102's frequency knob both feel kinda loose, probably due to all the constant tweaking

A quick check of Sweetwater.com and MusiciansFriend.com show no reduction in price. Maybe Turnkey has too much stock on-hand and are looking to move it?
