If you use either of the two outputs on the phaser and run it into the input of whatever is first in the chain, you can self-oscillate the whole rig. This also makes it so that any parameter that is adjusted makes a big difference in what is happening to the sounds coming out.

I'm sure any veteran already knows this . . . but hey.
