Used like any other effects pedal to modify the sound that is fed into it. The main difference is that you can use control voltages to vary the effects and these are analog not digital effects.
Good luck.

Control Voltages are used like such:
LFO-->PAN
As the LFO pulses, it will control the L/R panning.
in a nutshell, that is the premise of CV. The Foogers all have it, as does the Voyager, older analog gear...

I had no Idea what a Moogerfooger was or what LFO, VCO, VCA, CV, etc meant. All I can say is, for whatever reason, I decided that I had to have them. I have learned a great deal about analog sound synthesis because I took the plunge. Basically The Moogerfoogers are analog synthesizer modules that work well with audio signals. The results of using them with guitar, etc can be very basic. Or one can make some pretty extreme things happen. And on top of all of this, these things can make sounds of their own. Plug them together, stand back, and freak out.

yes i would suggest downloading
all the manuals, it can be very educational. I read all the manuals to all the moog equipment before i had even ordered it...... warning may cause anxiety if the items you desire are back ordered!!!
