Preset changing question

I'm thinking about buying a Voyager. But someone was telling me that when you change the presets your control knobs will be out of place and when you adjust them the change will jump. For example: You're playing and adjusting the cutoff on patch 1. You leave the cutoff knob at 10 o'clock. Then you switch to patch 2 whose preset has the cutoff at 3 o'clock. If you move the cutoff knob which was left at 10 o'clock but playing at 3, will the cutoff jump back to 10 when you start to turn it?
Thanks.

I think most synths (analog and VA) do this. Maybe the Nord Lead 3 doesn't because the knob position is indicated by an LED.

actually a bunch of synths will let you set the knob to pass through including the andromeda) which means you actually have to have the knob pass through the level set in the patch before it effects it. This is very helpful and in my opinion should be an option in all os driven modern synths, that use knobs to share functionality between presets.

My Waldorf Q and XT as well as my Ion have continuous rotary knobs and don't have the jump I speak of.
Since posting this I called Moog and had a very good conversation with their tech support. They confirmed that the settings will jump. But I must say, the manner in which they answered my question impressed me greatly. I wish all tech support was this accessible.
