If Dr. Moog is in therapy right now, I don't think he's working on a new synth until he recovers unless he laready designed it. It's a great idea. I hope many new Moog products are made.

There have been so many Moog products designed and built without assistance from the great man himself.

I think they should build a mini moog 2 considering the price of mini's these days
they could probably undercut the old ones.
but saying that the thought of a brand new moog product would be more exciting
for some of you mini owners i guess

I wish Bob a full recovery but i doubt after his ordeal he will be returning to work at moogmusic given his age and any long-term conditions.

As it was before . . it's time for the other engineers at moog to step in and widen the product line . . it could be that a cheaper new moog synth isn't designed by Bob himself . . just like the Prodigy or Source or Multimoog etc.

When Bob left Moog a few years after it was sold to Norlin he did not have anything to do with the synths that came after he went . . they followed his doctering but units such as the Prodigy, Source, Opus3 and memorymoog were developed by others . . heck, the original minimoog wasn't even designed by Bob Moog (the parts of it were but not the all in one design).

So, does this mean that the Voyager is the first synth that has been fully designed by Dr. Bob? That's cool.

According to Analog Days by Trevor Pinch, Bob designed the Minimoog oscillators and the wood case, the filter was lifted from the modular which was Bob's design, then the VCA, EGs, noise, power supply, and keyboard control were delegated to engineers Jim Scott (affectionally known as "Scotty"), Bill Hemsath, and a third person whose name escapes me.
