unlike some people here :) i appreciate that post. ever lost info from your hard drive??? a worst nightmare, even more so if that drive contains some of the best moog playing you have ever done and your almost finished album you spent the last year on. oh and when your backup drive also refuses to boot. your turn will come- it happens to everyone at some point and the cause may be just a small power surge or forgetting to trash your ext hd b4 shutting your computer down. easily done. hats off to the guy for letting us know, people like that come in very handy, just when you are proudly saying "ive never had a drive fail on me ever......"

about time there was a services section added to the board for people to advertise relevant services me thinks....

An entry for the "Services" section then perhaps.....

If anyone requires any little software utilities (PC only I'm afraid not Mac) to assist them with their use of the Voyager then I'd be happy to look into providing them.

Many moons ago I started on a Voyager librarian but sort of lost interest when the SoundTower offering came out.

Although the librarian bit isn't implemented you may find it useful for doing voice renaming.

With a bit of encouragement I could finish the application and make it available (free obviously). The idea is that everything stays in sysex format and all voice/bank organisation is done using a simple disk directory structure leaving you free to organise things manually if you so wish.

You can find the prog at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/kevin.bowden
