Hello!

I may have a problem with my moog but I am not sure if this is normal because its my first 100% analog synth. I have a noise on my moog when i play a note but the "noise" is turned off and volume down. Its better to hear it when the cutoff is down, so mostly bass. you can hear it better at the end of the audiofile.

2nd thing: I can still hear a note playing after I released the sound. its very slightly in the background also when Master volume is down 100%. This is not happening on the phones output. so i am confused.

3rd thing: Maybe this is no problem because i have read about self oscilating. I can play the synth with all channels down and switched off on the mixer. this is when i do the resonance all the way up.

I am very confused about all this becouse i have already sent it back for repair in europe and got it back the same without a thing changed. So i don´t want to bother the european dealer for nothing. i hope you understand my bad english!

I've got the same problem of noise playing whatever position the switch is on, intermittently though. i'm planning to bring it to the Moog doctor here in France.

About the note still soudning, I remember reading a topic dealing with that lately on the forum. I don't want to say anything incorrect so I'll advise you to find this topic. Some experts gave their opinion there

At least, the third point is ok: filter can self oscillate, meaning that it can produce a note even when not fed with any signal. This occurs when resonnace is high indeed. Provided the filter cut off frequency is following the keyborad, yes, you can "play the filter".

Thanks for your reply! Did you contact moog and what did they say to the noise? Have you been able to compare it to another voyager? You know, I am not sure if this is normal with analog gear... I am confused....

No, I haven't been able to compare.
Regarding tech support, I've planned to bring her in few weeks.I can live with the problem...
