I've posted this before (at least 5 years ago) but listened to it for the first time in a long time - it has Taurus 3 all over, and overdubbed Micromoog harmonies in the second half a little before the 2 minute mark.

that is some fat, fuzzed out bass!!
almost sounds like an EB-0, but as listed it's a LP. what pickups are in that?

Thanks! Bass is a Les Paul Triumph (from 1971 I believe - almost my birth year!) - it has the interesting low-impedance pickups that Les Paul developed for the Recording Guitar & Bass, Les Paul Triumph like mine, and Les Paul Signature Bass (that the Epiphone Jack Casady signature bass is based on) have. The Recording needed a transformer to be able to use like a normal high impedance instrument, the Triumph has a switch so you can use it either way. On this recording I used it high impedance, I think with just the neck pickup. This bass IS very fat, it's short scale, I really love it but it is really heavy. I bought it from someone who worked at the Golden Gate Bridge, went to the offices on a foggy day some 12-13 years ago with my wife, it's one of those instruments with a meaningful story for me that I hope never to have to part with.
Speaking of Gibsons, I love the mudbucker - the big fat pickup in the EB-0, EB-2 (which I have), and EB-3 - so high-output, no treble content at all, shove it through a fuzz or distortion and than manipulate with filter or phaser and it's fun fun fun!

haha, those soundclips are badass!!
really interesting bass too: I have always wanted to try one of those Les Paul Recording guitars/bass
I have an old EB-0 too: very limited in what it does, but what it does, is unparalleled
I play it through a low wattage tube amp & it gets some similar, saturated tones

Yeah, I find the mudbucker pushes distortion & fuzz pedals differently than something like a P-Bass or whatever. I'm glad I discovered the world of analog synthesis around the same time - I realized that the fuzzed out mudbucker was like an oscillator that I could process like a synth. I don't do so much of it anymore so I'm glad I have recordings.

A few "one synth" songs that never got released for 1 reason or another. I usually put a new synth through this just to start a relationship with the tangibles.
"Our Minitaur" (All Minitaur including the drums which were 1 shots sampled into Steinberg's GrooveAgent. Also used Steinberg's loopmash on the whole mix a few times too many
)
Effects by UA's UAD platform.

"Drone Number 4" (All Sub 37)

"Listening Centers" (All Prophet Rev2 including the drums)
Effects by UA's UAD platform and the internal fx of the Rev2.

"OB-6 Soundscape" (All OB-6)

Here's a small relaxing improvisation on a sequence, using Minimoog D, Prophet REV2, DSI OB6, Behringer VC340 and Univox SR-95.
Effects: internal REV2 and OB6, as well as Strymon Big Sky.
Enjoy !

Finally recorded something with my SIRIN! Controlled with Roland PK-5A pedals, recorded into Zoom H6, after the fact I put it through my CAJ V-Comp tube compressor, MF-101 & Alembic F-2B preamp to mellow the direct signal (the Alembic was probably overkill but didn't feel like redoing the signal chain):

(If you look real close, you can see the camera jiggle each time I step on the pedals!
