Moving to HI, should I bring SP & Minitaur in a checked bag?

Pretty much my whole dilemma is in the title. I am about to have 90% of my belongings packed and shipped on Monday and whatever I keep I'm bringing on a plane. They're already sending my big box of vinyl, two turntables and my Little Phatty, but I sort of want to keep the Slim Phatty / Minitaur / Drum machine (MPC1000) on me to fool around with while we have an empty apartment.
Has anybody every brought along their analog synths in their checked baggage? I was thinking of throwing it in between some clothes or something....
Thanks and I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Analog synthesizers look like bombs, especially the ones with no keyboards. Be warned.

!
I took a Technics SY-1010 to England and back in a large suitcase with it very carefully padded with clothes. I did the same with a Roland SH-09 and even a Realistic MG-1. With the right sized suitcase, some understanding of physics, and some generally fluffy clothes, it can be done.
However, it is risky. While the worst thing that will probably happen to it is the point where the luggage handler chucks it on the belt (and adequate padding will probably help it through this), you never know.

Maybe not as cheap as you want but really not too bad price wise is a pelican case. Very tough and if you can find one used on C.L. cheap enough. Get some foam if need from foam shop. Put a tsa lock on it. You should be good.
