I'm a saxophonist and I just recently purchased an MF-102 ring modulator and a Vox Clyde McCoy wa-wa to run my sax through. I'm hooked!!! It sounds so cool that I'm thinking of adding more moogerfoogers to the mix. I'm considering a CP-251 and an expression pedal to further tweek the MF-102 and any other fooger pedal I might decide to buy (mainly the MF-101 LPF) My question is: will this be overkill? I've noticed that the expression pedal can somewhat make the pedals emulate a wa-wa effect and i don't need two wa-was. :? Or will it even matter? I'm guessing it'll work with crazy mad tweekin' results! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

"...will this be overkill?"

Absolutely not! This would be overkill:

An expression pedal controlling the cutoff on the MF-101 is the same thing as a Wah pedal. (yeah, BPF v LPF, I know, but essentially the same thing.) You don't have to use it for that, though.

A CP-251 and a pedal or two will greatly increase your control over parameters on a MoogerFooger, and is highly recommended. By me.

You're right. That IS overkill! Thanks for the reply Mike. With that, I'll go with my original plan.

P.S., maybe add an MF-103 also?......hmmmm
