I got my Voyager AE last week. It's my first hardware synth, it's intuitive to use and, of course, it sounds fantastic. Here's my question: How do you save preset names? I can change them easily...but, when I go back to them they revert to the pre-programed name. Example: I change SLAP BASS to SATURN SNAP...it reads OK while I'm using it...when I go to another preset (or turn off the Voyager) and come back to what I think is going to say SATURN SNAP it reads SLAP BASS again. I press enter after changing the name. Is there a step after that that I am missing? (Oh yeah...my new preset sounds are always saved and OK....it just the name game.) It's a small problem, but any help would be appreciated.

Very simple to do:
- change the name
- then save the sound

The name is saved a part of the sound as on most synths. Actually like on all synths I owned with memory and sound names.

Thanks..that did it! I was doing it in reverse order.

Wenn I find a new sound, I store it first. Then I rename the sound to something that is memorable (atleast to me). Then I have to store the sound again to store the new patch name just given.

I do it this way, because something moved or pressed, and the new sound is lost. Once it is stored, even without the right name, its stored.

You have tested the name changing by using the keyboard action?
This is way faster then using the up and down buttons to change the characters.

I will probably work in a similar way.

Yes, I agree, using the keyboard instead of the arrows in much easiler.
