Hello fellow Moogers!:

First time here. Love Animoog. Thanks in advance for any help.

Would love to record Animoog onboard sounds (e.g., like those from various Animoog Presets) directly into Logic and/or Garageband on my MacBook Pro from my iPhone 4S. I have purchased MIDI Out from Moog's app store. FYI: I also have 2 audio interfaces in addition to an iRig MIDI available: A MOTU Fastlane USB and a Tascam USB122.

How do I do this? I think I'm missing something basic, or not understanding connections or missing a sequence in the process or something.

I got iRig MIDI as a way of getting MIDI into my Macbook as I understand that Apple's Camera Connection Kit Does not work. In any event, below is what I've tried and the results so far:

1. Opened iRig Recorder App, let it run in background;
2. Connect MOTU Fastlane USB to Macbook;
3. Run Line from iRig MIDI out > MOTU Fastlane USB IN;
4. Open Animoog, go to Animoog's...Setup > where I see identical choices/options in both "MIDI Inputs" and "Outputs": i.e.,
"Off/Network Session 1/iRig MIDI/Animoog MIDI IN (Out)"
5. I choose "iRig MIDI" in both inputs and outputs and play Animoog keyboard I get signal activity lights in both iRig and MOTU Fastlane, and produce Animoog sounds from various Presets;
6. Open Garageband, choose empty "Compose" project: Add "Software Instument"
7. Hit "Record" in Garageband, begin playing Animoog
8. Issues here: a) No MIDI imput recognition by GB; b) no signal/MIDI notes/events recorded in Garageband

What am I missing?

Again, thanks in advance for any help.
