Looking at the new MF-104m it seems as if it should be able to do all of the things that the ClusterFlux can do.
Thoughts?
Why should I keep my Clusterflux?
Don't you think that you can do flange/chorus with the MF-104m?

I'll let others discuss the merits of dedicated chorus/flange circuits vs short delays or the 50ms vs 800ms difference in the delays (and the degree of control of that delay) of the two pedals.

I will say this however. I regularly use a chorus AND a delay. So I'll gladly use a MF108 AND a MF104.

The 104M and 108M are not redundant. The 104M will do 40-800ms delay and 108M is 0.6-50ms. The 108M delay range is optimal for flange/haas/chorus, the 104M for slap/echo with different chorus sound at longer delay. The 104M won't do flange because the delay doesn't go in the 10ms range. Also the 108M has reverseable feedback the 104M doesn't. Reverseable feedback gets different flange/chorus effects and it wouldn't be effective with the longer delay range on the 104M.

And yes a delay can be effective after a flange/chorus.

Lately I've been using my 108M as the "main" controller of my sound with the 104Z as its sidekick if you will. The fact that these two pedals (104M & 108M) use BBD chips and have a similar LFO engine is about all they have in common loosely speaking. They have very different outcomes sonically.

Truth be told that if both of these pedals were packaged as one box, most of us would still buy two, so you can have your cake and regurgitate it too!

if i have the mf104z, can i use the mf108m in the effects loop for the same modulation effects that the mf104m offers?

More like its rendered the Z... I bought a 104z last month  though I believe the all analog Z will hold its value (in the future) for the analog purists.

I bought the 104m (pre order from moog) yesterday... so now I have two delays  ring mod and LPF will have to wait
