Moog engineers: WHERE is Phatty OS update?!?

Okay, I'm having issues connecting my Slim Phatty's in poly mode, and I know I'm not the only one, looking around on the forum. I get the dropped notes, etc. that others complain of. According to Amos in March an update was "almost here", but then suddenly all talk from Moog ceased about it, even though several people were inquiring in the thread to Amos when it would be released. Heck, I even emailed him and got no reply. So, my question is...
WHEN IS THIS ISSUE GOING TO BE FIXED WITH AN OS UPDATE??????
Moog, come on, this is very unprofessional looking. First, there are MAJOR bugs in a feature that is touted in your advertising materials. The last time I saw someone asking about why it was taking so long, someone else from Moog got on the thread and said it was because everyone was busy with the Minitaur. Well, it's been quite some time since that product was released, and this problem still remains. Also, I see several people in the thread asking about this very thing, and Amos has basically stopped responding on the thread.
I don't mean to rag on Moog. I love their products. But this just seems like they're taking their hands off the wheel. I got some Phatty's to make a poly rack, which isn't exactly cheap, only to find out this feature is beta AT BEST. honestly, looking back, I would have returned the gear, but the promise from Moog at the time was that they were working to address it, which obviously they AREN'T.

Have you spoken to their Customer Service, yet?

Another poly rack user here. Although I occasionally get dropped notes, My main wish is to stop my Slim Phattys' dials from moving by themselves with no explaination! The Little Phatty seems to cope fine, but my two Slim Phattys do it under all circumstances at the two addresses I've tried, when using 3-pronged power cables and unplugged from all other gear (audio/USB/midi cables etc.).
I'm just saying if there was any form of fix for this problem (not the "ground mod" - they already have that installed from the factory), I would be able to design sounds and play them without fighting a dial which is resetting to another value. I think this problem also effects the tuning range of Osc. 2 on one of the Slim Phattys (maybe the SP is too unstable during calibration), which sounds horrible when detuned with the other two phattys' correctly aligned oscillators.
Don't get me wrong, I also think it's pretty annoying when a note doesn't sound for whatever reason, but I find alot of that is probably due to my playing style which I need to limit to suit my 3-voices.
If we could get these issues resolved I will be truly happy with my investment..
Regards,
David Smyth

Definitely interested in seeing some movement on this issue.
I'm loathe to start adding any SP's to my collection until this is resolved.

T3 users are still waiting for the bug-free version of firmware to be released.
Bugs were first reported in June of 2010! Amos got on the case last December and has issued numerous beta versions that have increased functionality but are still buggy. We are essentially two years out from initial widespread T3 bug reports on this BBS with no reliable firmware in sight.
And the Minitaur is having its own bug issues as well.
But in the meantime we have had the highly entertaining April Fools video and the Moogle doodle to keep us occupied.
Note to Mike Adams: make these firmware fixes a top priority and take care of your legacy owners before launching more buggy products.

My thoughts, exactly. It was somewhat of a slap in the face to be told that the firmware fixes were delayed because of all the hard work being poured in to the Minitaur, and then see said firmware engineer in a promotional video for the Animoog BASE Pack monkeying around on that sophomoric product in a lab coat. I guess at today's Moog, making whoopie cushion patches takes priority over fixing the firmware for the Phatty line...
And to the earlier poster, yes I have gone through the Customer Support channels. I've also emailed Amos as he himself has suggested a few times in various threads, but have gotten no response. It's almost as if they've given up on it and are just ignoring everyone's inquiries on the subject.

AMEN . . . . . . .
My 2 cents: hire Lintronics to rework the firmware and bring it up to snuff.
The Phatty firmware, as is pretty clear by all the posts detailing peoples' woes, has a laundry lists of bugs, many of which are in the polyphonic feature set. I know that personally, I bought into the Phatty line for its purported poly capabilities, and I feel a little cheated. I have never been able to get the LFOs synched across Phattys, and I get the dropped note problem that many others have experienced. I had been among those testing new firmware builds and posting feedback to Amos on this forum, but it seems that work and communication on this topic has trailed off...
Moog - can you please update us on this and devote more resources to resolving it?

I understand the frustration, TRUST me. I have a buggy T3 at the moment, and all I can use it for is the basics. However, to get Lintronics involved would be EXPENSIVE!

Sometimes it costs to save face.

In relative terms, is it more expensive for a corporation to bear this cost than for me as an individual to buy the hardware and have it not function correctly? I think not...
Personally, I don't give a rip whether it's Rudi Linhard, Amos Gaynes, or the kid down the street that fixes it, as long as the advertised functionality is there.

As nice as the thought of someone dedicated like Lintronics being brought in would be, I think the first point of order is for Moog to fill this information vacuum.
With so much apparently outstanding it's easy for that vacuum to be filled with the casting of aspersions and reputation tarnishing.
With T3 and Minotaur users asking similar questions, perhaps this topic should be moved to the Moog General forum as it's across hardware...

Noting that the T3 has gone two years without the buggy software being fully addressed to the satisfaction of T3 owners isn't casting aspersions at anybody.
It is a simple statement of fact.

Personally I've had it up to my limit with faulty firmware and menu-diving through buggy operating systems. Swapped my LP out for a Voyager OS and now the only screen I have to look at is my laptop. I'm going to keep it that way.

This is why I don't want to see MIDI integration into the Foogers. While it is an excellent tool, it's too much of a hassle to mess with.
Really, I believe the problem is that Moog releases stuff to market too quickly. They are making a huge splash at the NAMM shows, but we end up Charlie and Delta testing stuff in the field.
I surely don't mind, but Id rather sign a non disclosure agreement and do so with a prototype than buy something without being able to play it first (because noone wants to carry Moog stuff) and find out that it "needs to be redesigned".
But I don't think that the firmware problems are something that is unique to Moog. I can name several companies that have the same issue.

I can name several companies that aren't as diligent when it comes to fixing said problems, as well. That doesn't make the pain go away, though.
