Hi all!
I am trying to setup the rekonaudio little phatty vst editor. I have a problem of feedback midi loop when i use the modulation wheel....this cause the block of the synth and also of the editor vst.....this doesn't happens when on the synth i move knobs like cutoff, resonance, overload etc, but always happens when i use the modulation wheel. For the connection to the computer i am using a normal usb cable that always work for a normal midi working, not sure about this new type of vst editor..
Someone that use this editor have found a workaround for this? Or any suggestion for a correct setup?
thanks in advance!

None using the rekon phatty editor?
Also someone know how to sync LFO and Arpeggiator to the sequencer with editor? The manual doesn't say anything about this.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I've been using the VST-AU Editor within Logic for a few weeks now without too many problems. Which DAW are you using? Or are you using it in stand alone mode? The Editor has a built in Midi monitor and Midi filter so it shouldn't be too much of an issue to track down the problem and filter out the relevant data. Also I noticed in the setup instructions for Logic, it said to disable 14bit Midi on the LP (I can't remember if I did this); it might be worth a try though.
I'm away from my LP at the mo, but will check tomorrow night...

Thansk for answere.
I ve tried to set off the "14 bit" on phatty and now the mod wheel works fine. I ve also contacted the rekon audio support, and they says the 14 bit must be on....but in their manual it's written the contrary....

Seems i can get editor working fine on ableton with 14 bit off, but i can't send any clock sync message to little phatty from ableton because the phaty midi ports are used by the editor.
I've tried to follow the guide in the manual using loopbe and midi ox but it doesn't work...it gets some midi feedback loop issue.
This is what says the manual to do:
1. Open the DAW host. In the DAW host MIDI setup (typically found under 'Preferences') disable the port that you are using
to connect the Synth to the Editor. (ex. port
.
2. Using a Virtual MIDI Cable (MIDI Yoke, Maple MIDI or LoopBe for Windows, it's free. Use 'Audio MIDI Setup' app on Mac
and create a virtual device, also free). Make sure the VMC is installed and working properly first!
3. Using a MIDI Routing app (MIDI-Ox for Windows, it's free. Use 'Audio MIDI Setup' app on Mac, also free). Open MIDI-Ox
and make the following connections:
1. Open the 'Options/MIDI Devices' view and make sure you have selected the MIDI Out port you are using to
connect to the Synth (ex. port
.
2. Open the 'MIDI Port Routing' view and disconnect all cables first. Then connect the 'LoopBe MIDI Input' port to the
MIDI port going to the Synth (ex. port 8 Output).
3. Also connect the 'LoopBe MIDI Output' port to the 'MIDI-OX Event Port'.
4. Also connect the 'MIDI-OX Event Port' to the port connected to the Synth (ex. port
.
5. Load the VST-AU Editor plug-in. (see your host documentation for using soft-synth plug-ins).
6. Open the 'MIDI Setup' view in the VST-AU Editor.
7. Set the 'Editor MIDI In' and 'Editor MIDI Out' ports and channels to that connected to the Synth (ex. port
.
8. In the DAW host, select the track that was created for the plug-in
9. Note that you do not need (or want, in this case) to connect the MIDI tracks I/O's to any MIDI Inputs or Outputs, or
to the Editor. Instead, you can use this track to send Note On/Off, Pitch, Modwheel, etc. data straight to the Synth
by doing the following:
- Set the track's MIDI Input to a MIDI Controller Keyboard.
- Set the track's MIDI Output to the 'LoopBe Internal MIDI' port. This will send the Note On/Off, Pitch, Modwheel
data to the Synth directly from your Host sequencer track instead of through the Editor.
In this arrangement, the Editor has direct access to the Synth AND the DAW Host sequencer also has direct access to the
Synth.
Your music should now be in sync with the DAW host and still have automation control through the plug-in. The Editor also
has direct communication with the Synth.
This doesn't work for me. Someone knows how to use the editor and sync lfo and arp of phatty to ableton?
Really thanks in advace for any help

I ve contated the Rekon's support but they didn't give me any detailed solution...just a "send clock using loopbe and Midi OX". I hope that someone expert with midi connections could give me some help...this is my basic connection:
Little phatty stage II ---- usb ---> computer windows 7. In ableton i've disabled the midi ports related to the phatty, because they will be used by the editor. I open a midi track and load the vst rekon editor, open setup menu and set "Editor midi in" and "Editor midi out" with the "little phatty midi" (usb). At this point all is good, the synth controls the editor and the editor controls the synth, but i can't send midi clock from ableton because the midi port of phatty is used by the editor. So i have to use loopbe and Midi OX to share both the editor and the sequencer the same output midi port (phatty synth), but honestly i don't understand what connections i have to do (that described in the manual doesn't work at all).
Someone that use loopbe and Midi OX knows could give me any suggestion? It will be very appreciated!
THanks in advance
