Amplifier (I have a problem)

Hi,
I got my synthesizer one hour ago.
I connected it to a bass amplifier and it worked well.
I was overwhelmed with joy and i touched all the buttons, including the button 'env. gate', and put it to 'External / on'. It made a lot of sound, but did not work again. It doesn't come from the 1/4 instrument cable as i tested it with my bass and it was good.
Can you help me please?
Thanks a lot,
Lady Bones.

I'm new to this, but here's what I'd try:
1) Does it work with headphones?
2) Remove all cords except power and audio out. Any change?
3) Plug a TRS cord in the 'Mixer Out/Filter In' jack and remove it. Any change?
4) Power the unit off, wait 15 seconds, and then turn it back on. Any change?
5) Call or email Moog support.
Good luck

Hello, and welcome.
Simply put the switch named "Env. Gate" back to the "Keyb." position. Or simply select another sound from memory.
And if you put it in the "On/Ext" position again, just make sure that the "sustain" knob is at maximum in order to hear anything.
Furthermore, may I suggest reading a little bit on the principles of analog synthesizers ?
Tweaking and turning knobs and switches randomly sure can be fun, but it's even better when you actually have a better idea of what each one does.
Unless you already know all of this, and you really have a defective unit (which would be a little surprising, but not impossible).
Hope this helps a little...

Also, if you are new to synthesizers, realize there are MANY knob combinations that will not make sound. Learning what each does can prevent this from catching you by surprise.

Should I confess that I had forgotten to turn on the controllers...?
I feel pretty ashamed right now. Haha...
