MP201 with midi CC controller for real time control

Did any one tried to use a midi controllers sending CC aka sysex like the "matrix controller" on this page http://www.undeadinst.com/products/prototypes? or any other?
It's a real pain in the ass not to be able to real time edit presets while playing.
I hope Moog discontinued it because they are planning to release one full of pots like the minitaur.
