What do I need for my (soon to be) Minitaur?

So I'm new to the synth world and I don't know what I need, amp/speaker wise, for a Minitaur. I'm a guitar player and I don't know if I can run it through my existing gear or not. I have 2 tube amps but one is a bass amp (Ampeg V4B). Both of my cabs are guitar cabs so I wouldn't use them, but if I had an appropriate cab would the Ampeg work well? Thanks in advance for your help. - Jon

Hey there,

If you get an appropriate bass cab for the bass amp head, it should be sweet - especially since the Minitaur is exclusively a bass machine. I use a bass rig for my Little Phatty/Slim Phatty poly chain and it even copes alright with the higher stuff possible with those synths. I'm also going to get a Minitaur, and it's going to go through my bass rig aswell.

In my humble opinion, any good bass amp will do fine. And your Ampeg V4B, with an appropriate bass cab like David mentioned, should shake the walls nicely with that little Minitaur !

Yes, agreed, that V4B with a good bass cab should sound real nice.
