Anyone know where to get a new cable for the Liberation? It's a 6-pin XLR, but I can't find one for sale anywhere.

is it two male connectors? You probably need to solder them, if you can't, contact VintageKing.com, they have them, though I don't think they are listed on their site.

It's doubtful whether you can find a ready built cable with those connectors, but the connectors are available from large electronics houses (mouser, digi-key). Buy the good stuff : Neutrik or Switchcraft.

I had a brand new cable made for my Liberation with SwitchCraft's

Yeah, it's male to female.

I could make it myself - I'm decent at soldering. The cable I have now (and it came with) is handmade, but really badly. There's not even an outer sleeve, its just crappily taped together.

I think I've given up on finding one premade. Guess I'll do it myself. Any recommendations on wire type? Flexibility is a concern.

just chop the wire you have. finding a 6 lead cable for audio probably won't be too easy.

CAE sound has them listed on their web site. Expensive though at $99.00.
CAE Sound Moog parts.
I just placed an order for some Moog knob inserts and they arrived within days.

I think I have an extra one here somewhere. I could probably sell it for half of that...

The cable I have now is very poor quality. I don't want to reuse it.

Eh, $100 isn't horrible for a nice cable. I wonder if that's 30 year old NOS though, I would rather pay that for a new cable with new plastic and such.

I'd be intererested. What's the quality, age and such?
