MIDI syncing SP to PT

This is how I am currently using SP in Protools 10 to make music:

I have a MIDI track with Input set to ALL and Output set to my Audio interface channel 1. Under this MIDI track I have an Aux track with its Input set to Input 2 (which is the input my SP is connected on my interface, Komplete Audio 6), the Output is set to a mono bus I named Slimphatty. Under this Aux track, I have a mono Audio track with its Input set to the Slimphatty bus, this is to record the midi notes into audio from the SP.

I want my SP to tempo sync it's LFO and ARP to my project tempo in PT. However, when I go to the Master settings and change the LFO SYNC and ARP SETUP clock sources to MIDI.... I hear no sound coming out of the SP. When I change it back to Internal.. sound is back. What am I missing?

I am hoping somebody can answer this (or my post) because it seems like this should be a no-brainer.
But I've had similar problems that are driving me around the bend!

I feel like I am missing something bloddy obvious.

To me it sounds like the SP don't recieve any midi clock from PT. I get the same problem with my SP if I don't choose an output for the midi clock in Logic. It's annoying when you forget it but it's an easy fix. :)

hey just wondering how do I send an already written midi track from pro tools to play through my sp...it all works sweet with my controller but when trying to send a midi track the sp doesnt want to read it at all...am I missing something in regards to the sp's midi channels or is it something to do with pt?

can someone help me please?

I still haven't figured out how to sync my arp to Protools.

I can find any threads explaining this for protools when i search google!
