The video says it's in the final prototype stages.

They usually hint at stuff. They keep playing the same 4 notes over again, so it coult be a 4 voice poly.

Perhaps this is why they DC the multipedal. Seems they DC one and then release another and the workload stays about the same.

And they said instrument...so it's not a new Fooger.

Do they consider APPS or stuff like that to be instruments?

hahaha

Those notes are a classic Christmas riff, kind of. But - I did notice this - the notes stay in the release stage while the next note is being triggered.

As far as an app/software, unless it was something totally revolutionary (and I mean like fetch me a Diet Pepsi from the vending machine revolutionary), I don't know why they'd keep it until NAMM, and not just release it normally.

So I guess I was kind of quick to rule out the polyphonic synth possibility, but I still somewhat doubt it.

Could it be a new monophonic synth with an oscilloscope built in? (Something along the lines of the PPG Wavetable) Or maybe a sequencer? A new modular system?

You're right about them hinting at things, but they did a good job of making this one more challenging to guess.

just pretend that it was made w/ an animoog :D
hmm. i've read some rumour-has-it posts on the 4 voice polymoog, though nobody knows. would love something in the eurorack format, though i know it'll probably not happen.

Since Moog Music is only content on merging old stuff together instead of creating a real new instrument, à la Voyager XL, or removing the keyboard from their synths, à la Voyager RME or Slim Phatty, this can only be:

Either a 4 voices polyphonic Big Phatty, or a footboardless Taurus III RME.

I started to mention a Taurus RME, and actually I would have preferred my unit to have been a RME. I wasn't able to track down their recent trademarks cause I surely looked. A TRME would fall perfectly in line with their current offerings.

I would hope that a TRME would have an operating system that allows for proper polyphonic voicing with other Voyagers/Phattys.

All of their Synthesizers with Midi should be polyphonicly compatible and independantly contolled. They need an across-the-board operating system just for assigning the synth to a voice.

I also hope that they release a new OS update for the T3, but I digress..

There ain't nothing mini about the Taurus sound.

A taurus rme would be awesome! I already have a t3 but that would make bull bass more accessable for others. Probably wouldnt be a limited run too. The logo could be half Bob half horse. Er maybe not... :D
