mg1 concertmate

Hi all,
I have an mg1 concertmate that doesnt have any reference to " Realistic" printed on it whatsoever. Infact it has Moog printed on the back.Im not aware of any other mg1 the same.
Is this rare? Could this be an early prototype for example?

Might it be a Moog Rogue instead? Both had the exact same plastic casing and keyboard...

or a previous owner was ashamed of the realistic name and painted/silkscreened the moog logo on

If it has pitch and mod wheels it's a Rogue, if not it's an MG-1. That, and the absence of a polyphonic section on the Rogue.

It's possible too that someone just modified it along the way. "Realistic" was not a brand with gobs of cachet.

It is definitely a mg1 and not a Rogue..as it says on the upper left below the pitch and polly knobs. i Bought it second hand in about 1983, so it is possible that someone has customised it as suggested by Colorform, and probably the most likely explanation as the "moog" on the back is printed or painted on and not a sticker,But i will post pics anyway.
It has been sitting in my attic for the last 20 odd years and just recently got it down again to see if it still works(which it doesnt ), and thats when i noticed it was different from all the others i see on the net.

I agree with you Chris Winkels because over the summer I saw a Moog MG-1 that was cosmetically converted so it would look "like a real Moog" with large Moog decals covering every reference to Realistic. It actually looked rather cool - at least until you noticed up close that all the Moog labels were cheap stickers!
