New owner with some issues (stuck notes, AU editor, no LFO)

Hello all. New owner here. I have lurked for a while, this is a great community. Anyway, I just picked up my slim phatty today and I had a couple questions/comments:
1. I had a stuck note constantly right out of the box. I searched your forum and saw that people with Korg controllers (I have a Kontrol 49) seemed to have a problem with stuck/dropped notes unless they disabled the clock output. I did so, and now it seems to be fine — kinda lame though.
2. I downloaded the VST/AU editor software (for $69) that I have seen people discuss and noticed it only comes with VST, not AU. Where are people getting the AU version. I am a little peeved because this VST one sure doesn't play nice with Ableton Live.
3. Probably the most important issue – I am pretty sure my LFO/MOdulation section isn't working. It doesn't matter what rate, what source, what destination, what amount...I can't hear any change to the audio signal.. I am fairly well acquainted with subtractive synthesis, and I don't understand what is happening, unless of course the Modulation/LFO portion simply isn't working. Any suggestions folks?
Any help would be appreciated.
Scott

I fixed the LFO/Mod thing. I had my controller's mod wheel mapped to some other control channel. DUhhhh.
Still have the VST issue and wondering why I paid $69 for it for zero functionality thus far.

Have you enabled modulation via the mod wheel?

regarding the lfo ... u need to go to the settings and changing the lfo clock to internal ... you can do so by pressing the master button and using the value knob to scroll to find the lfo clock setting,

You can test the modulation section by simply 'holding down' the Amount button while turning the potentiometer directly above it.

Thanks for the help guys. As I posted above, the LFO/Mod thing is solved. You would have read that earlier, but my posts are being held for moderator approval – I'm guessing because I am new.
I am still wondering what the heck is up with this VST editor? And specifically, where is this AU editor that I have seen Moog demo on youtube? I thought I was getting both when I paid to download the VST editor that doesn't seem to work...I know I have read about people using a AU editor as well. Anyone know where I can get it?

I emailed Amos about 3 days ago, since I saw him demoing the AU version in that youtube video and have seen him post here.
Look at about 1:30, you can see that the window with the editor says "VST–AU Phatty Editor"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN0rhKmaEho
I haven't heard anything back. Has anyone here received the
AU version of this editor? Did you get if from Amos? And finally, does it work better than the VST version?

Hey...I had all the stuck note nightmare issues and then my unit totally crashed with nothing but a "Please send firmware" message on the screen. I just about wrote the unit off as a total piece of crap when I tried this 3.03 firmware upgrade...

It seems to have resolved all my midi nightmares so far! I hope this may help others.

I looked at the list of compatible vst hosts on moog web site, and ableton was not listed.

Hi all, I'm a newb here and just picked up a Slim Phatty... I've owned many analog synthesizers and the SP sounds as good as many so far. It will surely fit into the mix well. Unfortunately, I too am having the Stuck Note issue... Having read that turning off MIDI clock solved the problem, I did so but it had no effect; I still have stuck notes. I'm using a Virus TI Polar to control it, and the SP has Firmware 3.11 on it. Also, I'm using Logic 9.1.5 as well.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Cheers ~ Raven
