2 Midi Messages Breaking Moog?

I have had a moog break on me twice in the last month one a slim phatty an the other a voyager RME
they happened in two separate studios, about 3 weeks into purchase
the only thing that I can think that is similarity in these events was there was more than one midi signal flying about in the studio
like for example a midi keyboard plugged in sending out midi, then a USB mpc Pad, there were a few peeps in the studio an I think two things might have been pressed at the same time.... or a friend was adjust the pitch bend on one midi keyboard while I played some notes on another
now it seems mad to me that transmitting a midi signal could have such a profound effect on something but it seems to have happened at the same time both times.
its not my studio setup either as the second time was when I took my Voyager to my friends studio
the 1st time the slim phatty just made a weird noise like a cat dying an then just stopped
then a voyager RME just started kicking out a single tone, like a hanging note, whichever is the last note that is pressed, which just didnt stop
surely its not too much of an unusual thing to have a few midi signals flying about in a big-ish studio setup?
am I just really unlucky and making up midi conspiracy stories or has anyone else heard of such a thing? Ive never had a problem with other synths & cant find anything else on the internet saying anything of the sort
I just exchanged an got my new RME and Im scared shitless something it going to happen again with this one. its kinda ruined my enjoyment of the product
anyone?
