Howto connect 2 Voyagers (Keys) ?

Hi,
my question sounds very simple, but focusing several cases and wanted results, bring some questions of doings to me. Especially to find the best solution, of course.
Cases:
1.
The second Voyager (#2) should work as a voice slave, to bring up a second voice to my first voyager. Great will be an option, to control all the parameters of Voyager #2 from Voyager #1? In other words, using #2 as a simple voice expansion.
I have not really a good idea at this time.
2.
Voyager #2 should work as an oscillator expansion, independent from control of Voyager #1. Similar to a modular system.
I thought about using the CVs. "GATE and PITCH out" from my VX351 from #1 and connect this to #2 GATE and PITCH in.
Have you any better idea or suggestions?
Does MIDI bring me an advantage or better ways? If yes, how to do?
Many thanks for good hints in advance
