Hello everyone -

I'm looking at replacing the s-trig input jack in my Micromoog with a standard 1/4". I would love to incorporate the parts needed to turn it into a straight V-Trig. I;m also looking at replacing the 3/16" Modulation jack with a 1/4" jack. So questions....

What jacks do I need? I've seen2 different schematics as far as converting to V-trig, what parts do I need to install? Do I need to install them on both OSC and gate?

The mod jack, what kind of jack do I need? 1/4" stereo?

After these mods are completed, do I still need to use floating ring cables? I'm planning on controlling this with silentway, but rather than make special cables, it seems to make more sense to just replace the jacks, especially since I need to replace the mod jack anyways and will all ready have the synth open.

Any and all advice appreciated, I'm good with a soldering iron, but a little lost as to exactly what parts I need to do this, and what connections go where.

I would just get one of these v-trig to s-trig, much easier.

Yeah, I'm tempted, but for a few dollars worth of parts....

I all ready have the parts, and drilled out the pop rivets on the Cinch-Jones plug to install a 1/4" jack...

I think I've looked at the schematics long enough to be able to go forth, just was wondering if anyone else has done this before and if there were any tips or bits of advice to dole out...

Thanks, i've seen that schematic also. I guess where I;m confused is this schematic doesn't have the diode, whereas the one from the Micromoog manual has the diode. I want to replace the cinch-jones jack in the Micromoog with a 1/4" jack and build the circuit into that. So, do I need the diode? Is it just a standard 1/4" Mono jack?
