MP-201 Foot pedal calibration
Re: MP-201 Foot pedal calibration
I have contacted Moog, and they told me that I could send it to their Tech department, however transport costs are extremely high. There must be a simple solution to check if the LED is working or not, or if there is another error in the system. Anyhow will continue in my search and hopefully it will be working soon again.
Re: MP-201 Foot pedal calibration
You're kind of lucky I guess... Moog Tech Support hasn't answered me yet (I wrote them a week ago).
Hopefully they won't suggest me the same solution 'cause transport + customs costs from Switzerland will not be cheap either...

You may want to contact MESI in France.

I also can find someone qualified here in Geneva, but I still hope Moog Music can solve our problem here...stiiiiiiive wrote:You may want to contact MESI in France.

I can probably fix it for you but parts are few and far between. Let me know if you want to ship it here for service.

Re: MP-201 Foot pedal calibration
I SOLVED THE PROBLEM.
Problem was that I could not recalibrate the 'gas--pedal'. One of the possibilities was the small board containing the LED. The other was a failing 'movable-mirror'. When I received my (used) pedal it was not properly working and I had to refasten the 'movable-mirror'. Perhaps I connected it to close to the small PCB board with the led and after a few days of using it, the 'gas-pedal' did not worked any more. CALIBRATION also failed and I could choose between 0000 and 0000.
I found a company where I could order a new set (mirror and PCB 11-701) at http://instrumentalparts.com/. I installed it and everything is working fine again. Hope this help others.
