micromoog, mg-1, open system

I recently got a micromoog and I'm interested in gettining an mg-1. Is tracking pitch on an mg-1 with a micromoog as straightforward as the manual makes it out to be? I have a bunch of different s trig and s trig to 1/4 cables and my micromoog has the keyboard scaling knob above the keyboard out. Seems like it should work but thought maybe someone has tried it.
