I see you have more white stuff growing on your cabinetry.
Helluva nice sounding module.
How many U are you up to now?

Hi Eric!
Yes, this year there have been a lot of changes in my systems!
The Modcan growth isn't much considering the sales. Recently I sold my much loved Modcan 59B and COTK C1680 single delays to be able to afford the 73B dual delay. And I also sold my Modcan 18B dual lag, mainly to make room for the 73B. I had also moved the 4VCA 31B and Quad Envelope 60B to my portable system which also got a used dual multimode 40B VCF and a new Touch Sequencer 72B. I sold my eurorack Touch Sequencer to help fund the 72B.
So, I
only have 14 Modcan B modules.

Dude, you're seriously getting me to rethink my modular needs. I think I'm gonna go 5U now...

Nice videos John! Now you have me thinking about adding a delay. Lucky for me I'm broke, so no new modules for now.
Those Modcan modules have the same knobs as on the old Aries. I put those small ones on the Frack modules, but had to grind off the skirts so they would fit. So a little Aries connection there.
The Aries is a real surprise though. I never imagined it would sound as awesome as it does. From different reviews, I was just expecting it to sound Moog like. The Aries oscillators, mixers, and filters have that vintage, somewhat distorted tone, but nothing like a Moog at all. Even running the Moog through the Aries filter sounds different. Here is a small sample of the Aries 329 Phase/Flange filter with the Moog playing through it. Sounds nice and very different, kind of vocal formants.

And a little clip of just the Aries driven by that 334 sequencer with the 327 filter. Still surprised just how bad ass this old 70's Aries sounds.

Since the Aries does not have any pitchbend wheels, I found an old joystick to go with it. Or could use it with the Moog?

Wow CZ, the Aries sounds great! Makes me even sadder I never got one and only had the PAiA for so long!
Thanks for the kind words on my vids! Here is part two of the Modcan 73B exploration. It is really long again though. The first minute is fun, I got sort of a THX-Lawnmower sound!

But in particular from 22 minutes to the end is really interesting IMHO. I'm syncing both sides of the delay to the clock divider but when I change the main delay knobs it creates some really nice ratching/rhythmic effects!

Now with sound demo.
The prophet 12 is a fun, nice sounding synth that you can get " lost" in playing and programing. Can sound very warm and analog, then go beyond.

I recently picked up a Sub Phatty and MF-104M. What a combination!
Since then, I've been using analog only gear, like The Rogue, Memorymoog and Theremin. Back to the early days with knobs!

New Prodigy! Currently it's in pieces being de-oxit'ed, but otherwise it looks like it just came out of the box yesterday. Pretty amazing.
Not a scratch or blemish
