I have one question about the implementation of the Mod Bus CV out. Is that tapped post Mod Wheel and and Amount control? Or does it route the full Source CV directly to the output?

Mod Bus CV output is past the mod wheel and amount controls, so you have realtime performance control of the modulation. I've used it to allow the LP to be a CV controller keyboard for my Future Retro XS, complete with mod wheel, and it works quite nicely.

How about an external vx-351 type expansion unit for the LP? It could, if properly designed, use the exisiting USB port on the LP to send its data to the expansion box (no computer in between).

Then on the expansion box (or on an upgraded hardware LP), why not provide 4 CV outs (or 6) that can be chosen by firmware from a more extensive list of destinations.

If you look back a bit on this thread this inquiry is addressed. Sounds like it'd be a rather big undertaking to make a vx box for the phatty mod.

I think it'd probably make more sense for them to just apply the existing mod to the Stage IIIs if they can adjust for it. VX units are for the Voyager, it makes more sense on that than on the Phatty.

I will do that, I must say I have not followed the thread. But see my pm.

I need to find a few weeks that I can be without my Little Phatty and then off it goes for its upgrade.

Looks great! So I'm assuming you use the original side panel and make the cutout or do you have replacement panels that are already cut out?

Looks pretty easy to add to wood sides, as well with slight modifications, of course! :D

When I visited they showed me a 'prototype' wood panel. Essentially, there were just the 5 holes drilled into it, after which, they attach the custom printed plate that you see in the pic over the jacks; w/nuts to hold it all together.

Not sure if the plate has adhesive holding it to the wood/rubber or if it's just the nuts from the jacks that hold it all together; but it's a fine looking end product and I can't wait to get mine (should be next few days or early next week hopefully).

Ah - ok - I thought it was inset but it is a plate - that's cool - so holes drilled and then put in place - nice solution.
